ResNet/Internet Connection Assistance. Technicians will be servicing requests for assistance as they are logged at the Support Center. Call (309) 298-2704 for technical assistance. All students living in Bayliss, Henninger, or Tanner Halls must have a computer with an Ethernet card and a CAT5 Ethernet cable to connect their personal computer to the ResNet network. Student Assistance and Parent Service Center. University Union, first level. This office will help you with your student ID, financial aid, email, STARS, class schedule, payment options, health forms, and parking and bike permits.

5:30–6:15 p.m. President's New Student Convocation
Western Hall. The president, students, faculty, and staff will officially welcome new undergraduate students and their families to Western Illinois University. All incoming freshmen and transfer students should plan to attend this special ceremony, which promotes Western's values and highlights the rich traditions and history of the University.
6:15–7 p.m. President's Family Picnic
Campus mall, southwest of the Spencer Student Recreation Center. Please join us for a picnic immediately following Convocation. Rain site: Western Hall, east arena.
7:30–8 p.m. First Night Meeting
Meet with people on your floor for the first time and get to know your resident assistant (RA) and your neighbors before walking over to Rocky After Dark: First Night festivities.

Hanson Field and Q Lot. Kick off the year with a night to remember with free food, giveaways, rides, games, and live entertainment.
