University Theme Committee Request for Sponsorship:

War & Peace: From Personal Conflict To Global Resolution

Dear Organization Advisors/Department Chairs:

This year marks the 10th year of the University Theme. The University Theme Committee (UTC) seeks to assist student organizations and departments by facilitating smaller scale speaking events and programs that engage our campus community in dialogues related to the theme.

If your department or organization is interested in bringing a speaker to campus, the UTC may be able to assist by providing additional funds to offset honoraria or speakers' fees for theme-related programs. All requests for UTC funding will be evaluated based on the program's relevance to the University Theme and related activities. The 2012-2013 University Theme is War & Peace: From Personal Conflict to Global Resolution.

Provided on this website are the UTC Sponsorship Guidelines and a Request for Funding proposal. Please note that proposals will be reviewed and funds allocated each semester, and not on a yearly basis. Due to budgetary constraints, all Spring 2012 co-sponsorhip proposals will be conditional on final budgetary approval. Completed proposals and any supporting documentation should be sent electronically to the University Theme Committee c/o Michelle Janisz in the Office of Student Activities, MA-Janisz@wiu.edu. The deadline for Fall 2012 proposals is September 21, 2012.
