Transfer Student Checklist

Transferring universities can be overwhelming! Use this checklist to help you prepare for your transition to Western Illinois University. As always, if you have any questions, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at 877/PICK WIU or email admissions@wiu.edu . Before Arriving at WIU

• Apply to Western Illinois University
• Have your current college/university send an official final transcript to WIU admissions after your classes have been completed and recorded or a degree has been posted. Official transcript should be sent to:

• After being accepted to WIU, submit your immunization records and verify that your immunizations are current with Beu Health Center. For details and necessary forms, visit the Beu Health Center Immunization web page.
• Contact University Housing & Dining Services to inquire about living requirements.
• Printable Application Checklist

Once you Arrive on Campus

• Have your student ID picture taken at the Student Assistance & Parent Service Center.
• Reserve or buy your books at the bookstore: the University Union Bookstore.
• Buy your parking sticker from Parking Services on or after August 1.

A Note on your University Bill

Your first University bill will be mailed during the first week of August. If you have any questions concerning your bill, contact Billing and Receivables at (309) 298-1831 or at billings@wiu.edu .

If you have any questions concerning your financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office at (309) 298-2446 or at Financial-Aid@wiu.edu .
