Housing

Explore your options.

Western Illinois University Housing provides a variety of live-in options for first-year and upper-division students. Lincoln, Washington, and Thompson Halls house first-year and upper-divison students, with first-year students being housed on their own floor with other first-year students. These are known as First Year Experience or FYE floors. Corbin, Olson, and Caroline Grote halls house upper-division students only.

Click one of the purple buttons below to learn more about each residence hall complex, or keep scrolling and take a virtual tour of all six residence hall room types we offer as well as our dining centers.

From move-in to graduation, the residence halls at Western Illinois University provide students a place to build friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Each residence hall is more than a building; it's a community for students to connect and flourish.

Residence Hall Room Virtual Tours

One of our favorite features of the virtual tours is the measuring tool. Once inside the tour, simply click on the ruler in the bottom left hand corner, click the "+" sign on the screen, and then click any two or more points in the room to measure anything you want. You'll also find out where to get your WIU swag, your bedding, and much more by clicking on the purple circles you will see throughout each tour.
