Visual Identity & Licensing Standards in Print Applications

Commercial Use/Licensing

The University asserts ownership over its name and any other trademark or symbol that is associated with or refers to the University. Any product bearing identifying marks and logos which can be interpreted as representing Western Illinois University must be licensed. Any individual, organization or company wishing to use Western Illinois University's name, marks or logos for commercial venture, promotion or advertising must obtain a license. Athletics Logos

Western Illinois University's athletics logos, updated in 1999, include the WIU sweep, Rocky mascot, Rocky head, Marine-style logo, paw prints and specialized sport typography.

One Color & Two Color

This logo is the trademark property of Western Illinois University.
Logo usage requires a license or authorization agreement from Western Illinois University
The TM designation symbol must appread with all uses.
This logo must not be altered.

One Color Special Considerations

Must be printed in University Purple (Pantone 2607). Black may be used as substitute if only black is available.
Never to be used singularly in PMS 116 with white or light-colored background.
May be reversed out of dark backgrounds (Pantone 2607 or black) so image is white
