Internet Research

To support a quest for additional information related to the study of penguins, the first grade children engaged in Internet research projects. One project asked for a photo and one fact for each of 10 different penguins. The children used the Internet links provided to search for information and made an amazing discovery. They discovered how to drag and drop images from a website into a word processed document. A concept map was also used to facilitate Internet research. A question followed by a link to an Internet site guided the children to the answer(s). Using Kidspiration produces an outline for a writing activity.
