Virtual Field Trips

The first and second grade children used Google Earth to travel from their school to a familiar destination, places they have heard about and not visited, and to revisit favorite vacation spots. The computer lab travelers were intrigued by satellite images of tall buildings, baseball parks, national monuments and memorials, and football stadiums. New topics of study in the classrooms resulted in virtual field trips via Google Earth.
