Software Used in Activities

ACTTT used a variety of software programs to help children meet learning standards through technology. Using the software tools, children could explore, experiment, create, research, write reports, and work on group projects (see Children's Products.) Software used in ACTTT is listed and described below. Links are provided to help you learn more about each program. See Curriculum Activities to learn how various software were integrated into learning activities for kindergarten, first, and second grade students.

Kid Pix Deluxe 4 may be considered an art program but is much more. A toolbox filled with writing, drawing and painting tools, stamps, stickers, and special effects supports children’s creativity and their desire to experiment and explore. Backgrounds of various habitats help guide discussions and decisions related to where animals might live and the slideshow feature is an easy-to-use presentation tool for young children. Kid Pix Deluxe 4 is dual platform.
