Career Fairs

All WIU career and internship fairs will be held virtually utilizing the Handshake career development platform. You can register for Handshake as an employer, here.

WIU VIRTUAL Education Career Fair
Friday, February 19th from 12 pm - 4 pm.

The virtual event will include employers both regionally and nationally located. Students and alumni of Western Illinois University seeking part-time, and full-time positions in an educational setting should attend this fair. Those who are also looking to network and build relationships with employers for future positions are also welcome.

The WIU Education Career Fair will be held on Friday, February 19th using Handshake, an online platform. Employers and hiring organizations will be able to host virtual booths, hold 1:1 sessions, and conduct interviews. Students should have their Handshake profile edited, upload their professional photograph (photos can be taken at Visual Production Services in Tillman Hall for $1), and be sure their resume is made public so employers have the ability to review it. Remember, the Handshake profile is the "first impression" an employer has of you in a virtual format; making sure it looks professional is key!

If you would like to have your profile and resume reviewed before the career fair or would like a Handshake Tutorial appointment, please email  to make an appointment soon!
