Macomb Campus Master Plan
The master plan for the Macomb campus was approved in 2007, creating a plan for the future of the University's facilities, grounds, technology, and infrastructure. Underlying the campus master planning strategy was the commitment to the University's core values, with all aspects of the design based on the principle that the Campus is the Classroom. At Western, we value what we build and we build what we value.
Included in the plan are a revitalization of Dr. C.T. Vivian Way into a pedestrian walkway through the center of campus and landscaping that joins together all parts of campus in an attractive, integrated design.
Some features of the Macomb Campus Master Plan have already been realized, including the opening of the Alfred D. Boyer Baseball Stadium, renovation of the east side of Hanson Field, expansion of the Spencer Student Recreation Center, construction of the Document & Publication Services Property Redistribution Center, and construction of a new MultiCultural Center in the center of campus.
