Who can register?
Q. Who can register for EC-TIIS? A. Anyone is welcome to register for our workshops. Q. What is the cost of registering for EC-TIIS? A. There is no cost to register and review the workshops. EC-TIIS is funded through the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs and is conducting research on the use of the online workshops and their effect on educators and families. That is why you are asked to complete surveys and pre-assessments when you register. Q. If I quit out of a survey or pre-assessment, do I have to re-register when I return? A. No. The next time you log in, you will see the next page of the registration process. For example, if you quit after the first three sections, you will return to the next section of the Pre-Assessment. Q. How do I get back to the Workshops from the Discussion Board? A. Click the 'back' button on your browser. Q. How do I take a Post-Assessment? A. You will find the post assessments on the 'Progress Page'. Click the link at the top 'Check my progress', located in the upper right corner. You will be sent to a page that has links for each post-assessment. Q. Can I get credit for reviewing the EC-TIIS workshops? A. Yes, you can earn Continuing Education Units or graduate credit from Western Illinois University or CPDU's approved by Illinois State Board of Education. You can also earn a Certificate of Completion A. You can earn 2 CEUs (20 contact hours) for reviewing all of the workshops and completing the requirements as listed in the pdf file below. Requirements for receiving CPDUs are contained in the CPDU Option pdf file. Additional hours can be earned through completion of Workshop Performance Indicators as explained in Additional Credit file. Q. What do I need to do to receive a Certificate of Completion? A. Certificate of Completion can be obtained by meeting the requirements explained in Certificate Option file. Additional hours can be earned through completion of Workshop Performance Indicators as explained in Additional Credit file. The Workshops and number of hours are listed on the Certificate. Q. How can I earn graduate credit? A. You can earn 3 semester hours of graduate credit. The course is IDT 573, Section I2, STAR# 24932.
