Book Review Assignment:

Your book review of Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder should be an evaluation of Richard Louv’s work rather than a summary.  In your review, be sure to comment on the author’s thesis and assess his ability to support that thesis throughout the body of his book.   

The essay should be two to three pages in length. It must be typed and double spaced, twelve-point font, and standard one-inch border.  I expect the essay to be turned in on or before Thursday, 12/6. 

I have decided not to make this part of the class participation grade.  This is a voluntary assignment and will be worth up to 20 extra credit points.
