About Us
Instructional Development Services (IDS) is provided by the College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) as a catalyst for the transformation of teaching and learning through the inclusion of technology.
Our Goals:
- Research the use of emergent technology in the fields of teacher education and human services.
- Provide on-line tools and face-to-face events that promote cross-curricular collaboration on the topic of teaching with technology.
- Assist faculty in the selection, implementation, and evaluation of emergent technologies for their classrooms.
- Assist faculty in the solidification of ideas and questions as they pertain to primary research agendas relating to teaching with technology.
- Acquaint and assist faculty with an instructional design process appropriate for the integration of technology into various teaching practices.
- Provide faculty with substantial resources that facilitate research, use, and evaluation of educational technologies.
- Motivate faculty to present and publish primary research, case studies, and implementation guides on the use of technology in teaching through by connecting them to field appropriate reviewed journals, consortiums, and conferences.
