Introduction to Children's Software Workshop

Purpose of this Workshop

This workshop provides the framework for the appropriate use of technology with young children and provides participants with a continuum of levels of software interactivity that meets the needs of individual children. It also presents guidelines for software evaluation to help families and teachers make informed software purchases.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of this workshop, the participant should be able to:

know appropriate ways to use technology with young children
state benefits of using software with young children, and
evaluate software for young children.
