Get a Free Year's Subscription to JESE

Want to get a free year's susbcription to JESE?

Here's how...

It involves a bit of scavenger hunting! We are in need of locating the very first issue of the first volume (volume 1, issue 1) of JESE for archiving purposes. If you have a copy and are willing to send it to us so that we can disassemble it, scan it, and reassemble it (then return it to you), we'll give you a free one-year subscription to JESE! That's all there is to it!

This offer is only good for the first copy we receive, so be sure to contact us before sending your issue!

Renewal Reminder!

The journal begins its renewals for libraries during the fall of each year and for individuals beginning in January of each calendar year. Please mark your calendars to send in your subscription renewals so that you don't miss any issues. For those persons who renew through ASTE, please be sure to mark your membership forms to indicate you wish to subscribe to JESE.

Call for Submissions!

JESE is always looking for good quality manuscripts relating to elementary science education to publish. We seek manuscripts that are research-based, both qualitative and quantitative, as well as issues-oriented work.

We are a peer-reviewed journal and have worked hard to shorten the time taken for both the review process and for publishing accepted manuscripts. Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, it may be published within six months (one issue away).

Please see the Submissions to JESE page for further details and information.

Call for Reviewers

The journal is always looking for good reviewers. Persons seeking to join the JESE Board of Reviewers should have some expertise in elementary science education (pre-K through middle school), possess good skills in reading and analyzing manuscripts, be able to communicate clearly in writing, have access to the Internet, and be able and willing to complete reviews in a timely manner (within thirty days of reviewers receiving them) and in the format requested. We seek both veteran and new reviewers who can provide constructive reviews that can help authors improve their work. You need not already be a reviewer for another journal or have experience doing so. We are willing to provide you guidance in preparing quality reviews. Individuals wishing to be considered for the Board of Reviewers should submit to the journal editor a cover letter and vita highlighting his/her skills and abilities as noted above. A successful record of having had articles published is recommended.
