Red Mountain
There are several Red Mountains in the Rockies. Glenwood's is on the
west bank of the Roaring Fork River. The trail up is well marked, and
it's not quite as high or steep as
the Lookout Mountain. There are a lot of switchbacks, complete
with more direct shortcuts for the adventurous. Rewards along the way
include a bench about
half way up and a great view of Mt. Sopris if it's clear enough (which
it wasn't when we took this hike in August 1998.
