Finally, do not use the same scale point in response to many or most of the persons. Though you may use the same scale point a few times, there should be variety in your scaled responses. All scales points should be used to some degree, except possibly the middle scale point.

Throughout the 1800s members of his family married people from Austria, Russia, France and Spain. David does lawn and building maintenance for the local schools. He was a great motorcycle racer. David’s wife does housekeeping for a chain of day care centers.

Wayne Rodney Lester is 52 years old. The first members of his family came to the US from Norway in 1862. He was a great soccer goalie. Wayne’s wife is an office worker for a local podiatrist.
