needn't study them, just read them. After you have read each one, go to
the next one and DO NOT RETURN TO THE ONE'S YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY READ. On
the memory test that follows, you will be given the name, age and
occupation of people in the biographies below. Then you will be asked
to recall other information in the biographies. Above each
biography is a picture of the individual from a school yearbook.
David Lowlin Albertson is 45 years old. His family came to the US from
England just after the War of 1812. Throughout the 1800s members of his
family married people from Austria, Russia, France and Spain. David
does lawn and building maintenance for the local schools. He was a
great
motorcycle racer. David’s wife does housekeeping for a chain of day
care centers.
Wayne Rodney Lester is 52 years old. The first members of his family
came to the US from Norway in 1862. For the remainder of the 1800s his
family married people from Hungry, Greece, France and Switzerland.
Wayne distributes daily newspapers to a group of delivery boys and girls.
He was a great soccer goalie. Wayne’s wife is an office worker for a local podiatrist.
Richard Semore Parker is 37 years old. Family members came
from Portugal to the US in the 1820s. They married people from
Scotland, The Ukraine, Finland, and
Denmark. Richard prepares food for a local fast food outlet. He was a great
mountain climber. Richard's wife takes orders at the same fast food outlet.
Joshua
Obert Randall is 40 years old. His family arrived in
the US from Ireland at the time of the Civil War. They met and married
people from
Portugal, the Ukraine, Belarus, and Latvia. Joshua is a housing
construction worker. He was a great hockey player. Joshua's wife is a
emergency room nurse's aide.
Charles Bassett Sage is 44 years old. In the 1870s, his
family immigrated to the US from what is now the Czech Republic. During
the late 1800s they married into families from Austria, Romania,
Italy, and Russia. Charles does delivery and pickups for a health insurance company. He was a great stock car
racer. Charles'
wife works in a dry-cleaner laundry room.
Samuel Rinsen Atwater is 46 years old. His family came to the US from
Italy in 1890. They married people from Bulgaria, Turkey,
Poland and Greece. Samuel is a fork-lift driver in a warehouse owned by
a major package delivery company. Samuel's wife works as a discount store
stocker.
