Roadmap to the Internet: Table of Contents

This is an online course on the information superhighway. Our guide is Patrick Douglas Crispen at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. The course was open to anyone on the Internet with the lessons arriving over e-mail every few days. It is written in a rather playful style, but it is very nice introduction to the intricacies of the Net. Almost everything here is Crispen's work. Charles Helm and Geoffrey Brewster, both in the political science department, have simply taken the email lessons, cleaned them up slightly and put them in an html format.(Geoff is responsible for Roadmap 8 to 18 and Charles is responsible for the others.) Please respect Crispen's request that you not contact him about problems or questions. Charles Helm is serving as the manager of Roadmap, here at Western, and will try and answer any questions or pass you along to others who can answer your querries.
