FirstSearch 1 - FirstSearch
offers user-friendly access to 17 major databases of books, periodical articles,
documents and conference proceedings, as well as 2 national telephone
directories.

Carl Uncover - Uncover indexes nearly
17,000 magazine and journal titles. Search by names and key words, browse
by journal titles and display tables of contents for individual issues.

ProQuest
Direct - ProQuest Direct offers indexing to leading national newspapers
including: The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, The Wall Street
Journal, The Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor and Los Angeles Times.

IBIS - IBIS (Illinois Bibliographic
Information Service) is a collection of online databases available to the
45 ILCSO libraries only. The University Library currently provides access
to eleven indexes covering a wide variety of resources. Enter your social
security number, without dashes, when requested for a patron ID. Only
available to WIU faculty, staff and students.

- Use this link to search the online catalog of holdings at WIU's library
or of any library in the entire ILLINET system (whose books are available

Electronic Full-Text
Journals - This page provides access to selected e-journals and to the
WIU library's collection of online databases which provide the full text
of journal articles. Check the title lists to determine each database's full-text
coverage. Consult the Periodicals Holding's List or ILLINET Online (help)
for information on all the library's periodical subscriptions.

ERIC -
The ERIC database is the world's largest source of education information.
The database contains more than 850,000 abstracts of documents and journal
articles on education research and practice. You can access the ERIC database
via the internet through World Wide Web, via Gopher, or via commercial
vendors and public networks. You can also access printed ERIC abstracts in
Resources in Education and Current Index To Journals in Education. The database
is updated monthly (quarterly on CD-ROM), ensuring that the information you
receive is timely and accurate.

maintained by the American Psychological Association that allows you to search
WWW sites for psychological terms.
