| Gravity |

Gravity is the main mover and driver of the Universe. It keeps the stars shining, the Galaxies from flying apart and our feet on the ground. Its effects range from the gentle fall of an autumn leaf to the unima ginable violence of a supernova. Understanding Gravity has been key to our understanding of our Universe from Aristotle to Newton to Einstein. In this series we look at both the historical development of the concept of Gravity and selected modern topics. |
| Planetary Geology |

This course offers an introduction to the fundamentals of planetary geology by presenting the basic geologic forces of nature: earth, fire, water, and air. Through the use of imagery and photographs of the inne r planets, students will gain a solid understanding of the importance of tectonics, volcanoes, water, wind, and impacts. |
| Sky Viewing |

Adler's staff brings you in-depth and comprehensive looks at what's up with the night sky. Interested in astronomy? We have courses for all levels of astronomy buffs, beginners all the way to advanced. Access to such useful tools as the Doane Observatory and the Zeiss projector are a fun and interesting part of many of the courses we of fer. |
