Workshops by Request

Professional development workshops are the science education resource for busy teachers. New this year, we are offering workshops to schools for groups of teachers. In a non-intimidating, collegial environment, teachers will learn practical ways to make science more meaningful to their students... and more fun for them to teach.

Principals and curriculum coordinators, this is an opportunity to provide professional development for your teachers. Workshops can be customized to meet the needs and schedule of your school or district. The date, time, location, grade level and subject matter are for you to decide. Choose the workshop that will be most beneficial to teachers in your school and your students.

These workshops focus on science standards, yet are not limited to science teachers. At workshops at the Museum, teachers will tour subject appropriate exhibitions and learn how to plan a successful museum visit. All workshops provide fun, hands-on and engaging activities and projects and are designed to help teachers meet selected Illinois State Goals and Chicago Academic Standards.
