| If the lab computer says your account is disabled but you are able to use WebMail… | 1. Hit ctrl-alt-delete. | 2. Type guava in the username blank; don’t type a password. | 3. Log in to the Guava screen with your ecom username and password. | 4. Click on the Personal icon. | 5. Scroll down to "Update Account Password." If your existing password meets the criteria (at least 6 characters, one of which is a numeral), you can re-use it. Simply type it in all three boxes and click on "Change Password." If not, create a new one. Keep in mind that this will change your password for Webmail and WesternOnline, but it is necessary so that you can use lab computers outside the library and use the Samba Server. | 6. Once the screen says “successfully changed password,” click on Logout. | 7. Click on the Start button in the bottom left hand of the screen and choose “Log off.” The computer will return to the purple desktop. | 8. Hit ctrl-alt-delete and try again to log in. |
