Metro and Non-metro counties in Illinois. This map displays the U.S. Office of Management and Budget's definitions of metropolitan versus non-metropolitan counties in Illinois for the decade of the nineties. These standards will change in 2003.

Illinois Counties. This map displays the 102 counties in Illinois along with the names for each county.

 
Population Change 1990 to 1999. This map displays the U.S. Bureau of the Census changes in population from the 1990 census to estimates made for 1999.
Population Change 1990 to 2000. This map shows the changes in county population between the last two census takings. The data is from the 1990 Census of Population and Housing STF3A files and the newest Census 2000 redistricting data.
Elderly population change. This map shows the changes in the elderly population from 1990 to 1999. The data is from the U.S. Bureau of the Census Estimate division.
Median household Income 1997. This map displays the breakdown of median household income for 1997 and is from the Census Bureau's statistics.
Poverty Rate. This is a map showing the poverty rate estimate by county for 1997 and data was obtained from the U.S. Bureau of the Census.
