Western Illinois University's Department of Instructional Design Technology (IDT) provides students with the knowledge, skills and ideas that will prepare them to use these tools of technology to create new ways to inform and train others.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology will prepare you for a career in your area of interest.
Western's IDT Department places an emphasis on providing students with both the technical skills, including training in the latest in computer technology and applications, and the teamwork skills necessary to manage people and projects, ensuring your ability to compete and excel in a rapidly changing workplace.
