KME Meeting
November 1, 2006

• Attendance: Tara DeMay, Stephanie Heaton, Sarah Cane, Scott Mikos, Jen Newberg, Carla Webb, Jivan Hawkinson, and Kelly Avery

• President’s Announcement:
• • We had a guest speaker from relay for life
  • We need to think about whether or not we want to do this
  • Also, we had to go over the Student organization Form
  • All members needed to sign so Jen could turn it in

• V.P’s Announcement
• • Dr. Kranjc will be speaking on Nov. 15 @ 6:00
  • His friend will speak either the 23rd or 24th of Feb.

• Treasurer’s Announcement
• • Our checks are in

• Breanne’s Announcements
• • She is finishing up going over the constitution and she is planning on leaving it as is

• • Sarah – Platonic Solids
  • Carla – Pentaminoes and logic puzzles
  • Stephanie – Set game

  • Tara – Sudoku
  • Jonathan – Paper Airplanes
  • Dan Gustafson – something with Geometry
  • Jen – she will be a “floater” and fill in if we need breaks and be a greater and work w/ the refreshments
  • Tables for 391 presentations and math careers
  • If you have not signed up for an activity PLEASE DO SO!
  • Also for next meeting have a list of material

• T-shirt update
• • We hare going to get T-shirts and they will be maroon with white writing
  • On the front it will say KME Mathematics Honor Society
  • On the back is a quote that states “If people do not believe math is simple then they do not realize how complicated the world is”
  • Please get your size to either Tara (Tc-demay at wiu.edu) or Jen ASAP
