Early College Credit Program (ECCP)
The UAASC Early College Credit Program (ECCP) facilitates the advising and registration
of area high school junior and senior students who are taking
classes at Western while still enrolled in high school. A
UAASC advisor visits high schools within a twenty-mile radius, explaining
procedures for taking college classes and helping students select
appropriate courses. The program is designed for students
who are
looking for challenging course work to supplement their high school
education, or who want to get a head start on their college careers.
Students must meet the regular admission standards of the university
and must have the recommendation of their high school counselor
in order to participate.
The General Education Handbook provides course descriptions for courses typically taken by first semester freshmen.
For more information, contact the ECCP Coordinator, Jane Coplan, or UAASC Director Candace
McLaughlin.
