Ethics

There are quite a few advantages in cloning, but I believe the disadvantages out weigh the advantages. Cloning humans is quite unethical and I don't believe our society is ready for a permutation city.

According to religioustolerance.org some scientists believe that cloning is moral and it may eventually lead our society to positive results:

  • It might lead to a better understanding of the causes of miscarriages and may lead to developing treatment prevention of miscarriages.
  • It might lead to terminating the growth of cancer.
  • It might help at risk parents not to pass on a genetic defect to a child.
  • It might be useful for organ donations.
  • Cloning has many more positives, but each positive can be countered by a negative.

    Negative aspects of cloning humans are:

  • There is no guarantee that a cloned human will be normal.
  • Large scale cloning could deplete genetic diversity.
  • Clones may be born without souls.
  • There are various disadvantages to cloning humans.
