Property Accounting and Redistribution - Modular Beds
The University has been granted approval by the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) to sell excess modular beds for $1 to municipalities and units of local government, school districts of the State and to charitable, not-for profit educational and public health organizations. These types of organizations include but are not limited to churches, medical institutions, clinics, hospitals, health centers, schools, colleges, universities, child care centers, museums, nursing homes, programs for the elderly, food banks, State Use Sheltered Workshops, and the Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
To the right is a picture of a representative bed. The beds accommodate an 80" non-standard twin mattress. The mattresses are not included in the sale.
Payment must be in the form of a check made payable to Central Management Services from the qualifying municipality, unit of local government, school district, or charitable, not-for-profit educational or public health organization. Cash and checks from individuals will not be accepted as the University must provide proof to CMS that the beds were sold in accordance with the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, Administrative Code Title 44, Subtitle D, Chapter I, Part 5010, Section 5010.110.
Transportation of these beds will be the responsibility of the purchasing organization.
