Rocky is Moving for Scholarships
How it works
To assist with scholarship funding at Western Illinois University, the WIU Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) has launched the campaign, "Moving Rocky for Scholarships."
A cutout of Col. Rock III (aka Rocky) will move from office to office when employees make a contribution to the Civil Service Employees Council Scholarship Fund. Col. Rock will reside in an office for one week for a $25 donation ($50-two weeks; $75-three weeks; and $100-one month).
Rocky's visits will be chronicled at wiu.edu/csec and on the WIU Civil Service Employees Council Facebook page (http://tinyurl.com/mxbjtla).
Each year, the CSEC awards up to nine $1,000 scholarships and up to 15 $100 book awards to WIU civil service employees' dependents attending Western. Since 1981, more than $160,000 in scholarships, and more than $18,000 in book awards, have been awarded. The endowment requires approximately $225,00 to fully fund scholarships offered each year.
