Civil Service Award Fund

A fund to provide financial assistance to Civil Service employees and their dependants.

The Fund Drive

The Civil Service Award Fund Drive is held each year. Since the fund was first established in 1981, the donations have continued to increase. The Employee Book Awards have also increased from six to a total of 15 awarded annually.

The number of scholarships and book awards granted is dependent upon funds generated

The Purpose

In 1981, funding for the first two scholarships was provided by the WIU Foundation. Through the investment of both past and future donations, the Civil Service Award Fund Committee hopes to continue to expand the program. Contributions to the fund may be made through payroll deduction and are tax deductible.
