The University Sustainability Committee at WIU has created a program that allows all members of the WIU community to use a bike, free of charge, for 48-hour periods. We believe that improving our transportation system is one of the central ways to address a variety of important and interconnected issues including: health and fitness, energy usage and climate change, safety, parking and roads, etc. Of course, these same issues affect not only our campus community but also our town, nation and world.
