- Harry Potter Study Abroad Information Session
- Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Location: Malpass Library Third Floor Computer Classroom
- Description: Are you still waiting for your letter from Hogwarts? It's time to take matters into your own hands! This spring semester, the departments of English and Political Science are joining houses to offer the study abroad experience "The World of Harry Potter: Politics, Social Justice, and the United Kingdom." Together we will investigate Harry Potter in the context of its cultural and historical background, examining the ways in which it parallels contemporary political, social, and cultural issues. The course will culminate with a thirteen-day journey to Scotland and England where we will explore the places, politics, history, and culture that inspired J.K. Rowling. Participants can choose to earn 3 credit hours for ENG 379 or POLS 379, OWLs not required. If you're ready to come on a magical adventure (or just want to learn more), please join us for this information session!
