- Description: Red Minerals and Illinois Fossils, the annual gem, mineral and fossil show will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13, 2022, in the ballroom of the Student Union. Admission is free, door prizes are given throughout both days, parking is free.
Informational displays including a large selection of Illinois fossils, many of which were collected in Schuyler County, will be on display. There will be dealers in gems, minerals, jewelry and fossils. Kids will receive two tickets at the door for a free turn at the spin and win game as well as a free turn to dig for a fossil at the fossil dig. The silent auction is always a popular part of the show as well as the fluorescent mineral display.
