- Take Back the Night Rally to end power-based interpersonal violence
Moved indoors to Sherman Hall 3rd Floor Auditorium

- Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
- Location: Sherman Hall 3rd Floor Auditorium
- Description: Take Back The Night is about awareness, empowerment, and the chance to visibly fight against power-based interpersonal violence. What started out as a protest rally against pornography during the Women’s Movement in the 1970s has turned into a national event.
Locally, this is the 23rd annual TBTN March and Rally. We hold the March and Rally during October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Every year it continues to grow, with more and more support from the WIU and Macomb communities. The event is sponsored by the WIRC-CAA Victim Services Agency and the WIU Women's Center, with support from the University Counseling Center, WIU and local police, and numerous other campus and community offices, agencies, and organizations.
Please join us and help make a successful and empowering event for everyone involved!
