- Description: Don't miss this FREE event (with free parking!) with plenty to do for people of all ages, budgets, and ability levels!
Once again have Route 66 Kites on-site with their kite/toy store.
Saturday, the event kicks off with a Red, White, & Blue Mass Ascension celebrating Military Families at 10:00 a.m., with free kites for military kids (while supplies last), and open fields to fly kites.
11:30 - 1:00 - Free Hot Dogs & Lemon Shake-ups for kids 17 & under (while supplies last) courtesy of Squeeze to Please Lemonade (and a whole lot more!)
At noon, 180 GO! Kite Team returns to thrill audiences with their dazzling displays of precision team flying.
Throughout the afternoon, giant show kites will fill the skies with whimsical ocean-themed creatures, courtesy of the amazing Tony & Ann Killip of Wataga, #Illinois.
Throughout the afternoon, we'll have candy drops, spectacular crashes, a bubble station, a small children's respite station, and kite-making crafts.
Saturday's Event finishes out at 4:30 with open fields for all to enjoy.
Sunday is "learn to fly" day. We'll have sport kites to try out, flight school for newcomers, and open fields to enjoy flying YOUR kites.
What to bring (Recommended): Lawn Chairs and/or blankets, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, camera, and anyone who loves a fun show.
