Prize-winning woodwind quintet Tiburón V, brought together by chance in 2016, bonded over movie references, a-ha, Katy Perry’s half-time show, and making music together. Each talented musicians in their own right, Amanda Bolger, Richard Dobeck, Prof. Emily Hart, Emily Hill, and Steven Palacio’s undeniable chemistry unites them and sets a standard for cohesive and energetic chamber music. Despite living in four different cities, Tiburon V have stayed connected professionally and personally, combining good humour and artistic skill into a passion for performing together. Allies and members of the LGBTQ community and proponents for music composed by women and people of color, Tiburón V brings charm, creativity, and talent to every performance.
