32nd Mary Olive Woods Lecture

Location: Heritage Room, University Union
Description: Timothy O'Connor, Professor of Philosophy and member of the Cognitive Sciences Program at Indiana University, will present "Can It be Reasonable and Moral to Believe in One True Religion?" at 7:00 p.m. on September 20, 2018, in the Heritage Room of the WIU University Union. O'Connor's main areas of scholarship are metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion. He is the author of two monographs, has published over 75 scholarly articles, and edited seven books.

The 32nd annual lecture is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the WIU Departments of Mathematics and Philosophy, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Mary Olive Woods Trust. The Mary Olive Woods Trust also provides several thousand dollars in student scholarships each year in addition to an annual lecture presentation.
