- College of Business and Technology Leadership & Engagement Symposium featuring Warren "Bunny" Weiss

- Description: The 2019 College of Business and Technology Leadership & Engagement Symposium is designed to motivate, engage, and energize local high school students, CBT students, the university community, and industry partners. The Symposium includes a Youth Leadership Development Workshop, a Corporate Partner and Scholarship Luncheon, and a Keynote featuring alum Warren “Bunny” Weiss.
10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.: Youth Leadership Workshop – High-performing high school students participate in a workshop designed to build leadership skills needed to achieve personal and professional goals.
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Corporate Partner and Scholarship Luncheon.
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Warren “Bunny” Weiss Keynote Address – WIU students, faculty, staff, corporate partners, and general public invited.
CBT has invited Law Enforcement and Justice Administration alum Warren “Bunny” Weiss to direct young leaders as they transition to future leaders, provide a special message to our industry partners, and deliver the keynote address. Mr. Weiss is a General Partner at Foundation Capital, a four time CEO of venture backed companies, and worked with Steve Jobs at Next Software. Bunny serves on the boards of Orkus, ForgeRock, Visier, Moxie Software, SilkRoad Technology, and the Weiss Scholarship Foundation. The Weiss Scholarship Foundation works to empower children by trying to create a world in which every child has the opportunity to receive a great education.
