Trans* Day of Remembrance
Time: 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Location: Multicultural Center
Description: Trans* Day of Remembrance is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. This year a candlelight vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 in the Multicultural Center on the Macomb campus. During the event, the names of each trans* person killed this year will be read aloud and a candle lit for the memory of each as a symbol of lighting their way in the dark.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be limited to the first 25 attendees. Face masks required.
