- Chris Sutton - Photography

- Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Location: Leslie F. Malpass Library, Garden Lounge
- Description: Since the early 1990s Chris Sutton has used photography to capture his unique perspective on the landscape. As a geographer, Sutton views the natural environment not only as the manifestation of physical processes but also the canvass upon which human activity is expressed. Beginning as a “hobby photographer” Sutton has evolved his interpretation of the landscape as viewed through the lens of the camera.
On Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Leslie F. Malpass Library, Garden Lounge, Sutton will share his digital photographs of a wide range of physical and human environments, from the subtle beauty of west-central Illinois to the expansive vistas of the mountain west. His photography represents the interpretation of the features that reflect his vision of geography as art and art as geography.
