- School Safety: Active Shooter Threats to Schools and Their Communities

- Description: This program is designed to address prevention, policy and the state of safety in schools in the event of an active shooter incident. Experts in several areas of the WIU School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration program will present information on policies and practices in the event of a violent incident. Presenters will include vital information on red flag behaviors and information on protocols during a school emergency. This program provides an opportunity for educational policymakers as well as law enforcement officials to discuss and learn about how to create safer schools and communities.
