- Description: In celebration of Women's Equality Day, commemorating the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 giving women in the U.S. the right to vote and calling attention to women's continuing struggle for full equality, the Women's Center invites new students and other members of our campus community to join us for a discussion with members of the League of Women Voters of McDonough County about opportunities for involvement in the League's activities, and well as opportunities for involvement in the Women's Center and its affiliated student organizations. LWVMC members will be available to do voter registration (bring two forms of ID, one with current address).
