- Nursing Resources for Academic Library
- Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
- Location: Leslie F. Malpass Library, 2nd Floor near New Books Collection
- Description: Malpass library received a competitive LSTA:Back to Books grant from the Illinois State Library in May. The grant is titled: Nursing Resources for a Rural Academic Library. With the grant funds of $5,000 we were able to purchase 86 books to be added to the library collection. These books may be found by searching the database in the Advanced Search and typing in Back to Books in the search field and in the search by changing it to Note Words. This will allow all of the items purchased with these grant funds to be easily found. In each book we placed a book plate stating: WIU's copy was purchased with funds from the 2013 Illinois State Library Back to Book Grant: Nursing resources for a rural Academic Library.
University Libraries will be hosting Daneen Richardson, Health Sciences/Sciences Librarian on Wednesday, November 20 from Noon to 1 p.m. in the Leslie F. Malpass Library, near the New Books display on the second floor. Ms. Richardson will be available during that hour to discuss the new books and answer any questions about the grant.
The event is free and open to the public. Questions about the event can be directed to Tammy Sayles at firstname.lastname@example.org.
