Update #4: 2.6.2022

Scilympiad Updates

We have had some technical issues with the platform and unfortunately had to delete all of our data and start from scratch. We have been told this will not happen again. We need you to do the following (again). We know having to redo this is an inconvenience but we think this new way will be easier to manage between varsity and junior varsity in addition to taking out the bugs in the system.

Please Do ASAP

  • Go to scilympiad.com/il and log in. Using your previous log in, you should be able to log in.  If not, please click here .

  • Once logged in, click “register here” and register your team.  Please be sure to designate teams by Varsity and Junior Varsity. Do not use colors. We do not know what your color system means.  Need help? Click here

  • Once you have entered your teams, you will be assigned a number and will be able to add students.  Click here for more information.   It can take up to 48 hours for your team number to be assigned.

Competition Schedule: Practice/Regional/State

Have you turned in your paperwork?

The following paperwork must be completed to compete this season:

  • Registration Form (one per Varsity and one per each Junior Varsity team).  It must include your principal’s signature. Please email a scanned copy to Paperwork@illinoisolympiad.org on or before March 5, 2022.

  • Participant Release Forms -to be kept at school by the coach. Paperwork must be accessible if needed during the tournament. These forms do not need to be turned in electronically due to the new SOPPA guidelines.

    • Attached is a screenshot showing which schools have completed the registration form paperwork.

      • PLEASE do not submit this form until you have all participant release forms!

Regional form

Practice Regional

  • Those participating in the practice regional should plan on seeing 10-15 minutes of questions for each event in the Scilympiad platform.   This event is intended to be practice using the system for students, coaches, and event supervisors.  The questions provided will not be graded but it is a great opportunity to learn!

    • Students should log-in to take their test during the normal scheduled time.

Build Events

    • The requirements for the build events are provided in the links below.  (This information is also in Scilympiad for student access.)

    • Some events need materials ahead of time and others need target times/distances.  Please see the tables below for that information.  (This information is also in Scilympiad for student access.)

    • The build events will use a script to turn in required videos and images.  The script link is below but also in Scilympiad for student access.

    • If your team needs a list of links whitelisted (because your district blocks the script link) please email Nicole McRee ( nmcree@kcsd96.org ).

      • When entering your students in Scilympiad for build events, V and JV are combined! Place all 4 of your competitors (V and JV) to compete in that event.

C LEVEL: All build event practice script submissions are due by NOON on February 12th.
