University Assembly: August 19

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – The new academic year at Western Illinois University will kick off with the annual University Assembly beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall on the WIU-Macomb campus. The event will also be live-streamed on the University's YouTube Channel.
Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend the event. During the event, WIU President Guiyou Huang will discuss plans and priorities for the 2022-2023 academic year and beyond, and Western's new Provost Manoochehr Zoghi will also provide brief remarks.
"I look forward to seeing everyone in person and sharing our exciting plans for the upcoming academic year," Huang said. "Please join me Aug. 19 to celebrate the start of a new era at Western Illinois University."
