BOT Retreat

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will conduct a board retreat starting at 8:15 a.m. Friday, July 11 at WIU's Horn Field Campus, 985 China Rd., Macomb.
Topics to be covered include strengthening and expanding Western's academic programs; campus maintenance and renovations; expanding the WIU-Quad Cities campus and programs; student behavior and parental involvement; the accreditation process; fundraising and the University's upcoming comprehensive campaign; trustee roles and responsibilities; and areas for focus in the next year. A wrap-up and discussion of next steps will conclude the session, which is scheduled to end by 4 p.m.
Boards of Trustees meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act. No action items are on the Board's retreat agenda. The next regular Board meeting will be held Friday, Oct. 17 on Western's Macomb campus.
