MACOMB, IL - - Auditions for a young boy who appears to be approximately eight- to 10-years old for a Western Illinois University Theatre fall production are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 in Western's Hainline Theatre.

Show dates for the mainstage production of "Dearborn Americana," a comedy written by Spring 2007 theatre alumnus Christian Krauspe, are Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 12-15.

"Evening rehearsals will begin Monday, Oct. 13, and every effort will be made to release the boy from rehearsals at a reasonable time," said director Marcus Olson.

The show is a comedy set in 1923 about three Russian spies who attempt to kidnap Henry Ford. The role of young Henry Ford, Ford's grandson, is a fairly large role, Olson added.

All boys will be given a portion of the script for the audition.

For more information, contact Olson at (309) 298-1747 or m-olson@wiu.edu.
