Colette Norris

Colette Norris received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Illinois College in 2017. She graduated with a Master’s degree from Western Illinois University with a degree in Psychology from the Clinical/Community Mental Health program. Colette is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

Colette's clinical interests include facilitating individual, group, or crisis based work. While Colette has experience working with a variety of presenting concerns, areas of interest for her include working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and difficulties with connection. Colette's approach to clinical practice involves utilization of skills and interventions from a variety of theoretical backgrounds, tailoring in a personalized fit to each client. Colette takes a collaborative approach with clients and incorporates tones of strengths based work as well. When applicable, she likes to incorporate relaxation techniques from foundations of mindfulness and meditation.

Colette enjoys utilizing exercise and movement to help de-stress and engage in self-care. Her favorite movement break includes running or walking outside and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
