- Description: The annual rock and mineral show in the ballroom of the
WIU Student Union with dealers in rocks, mineral, fossils and jewelry. There will be educational displays featuring fluorite, the Illinois State Mineral, and barite. Demonstrators will be showing wire-wrapping, geode cracking, beads, jewelry and faceting.
New this year will be an escape room. It will feature a mine-themed room where participants have 30 minutes to solve various puzzles to save the preciousvmineral and "escape" the mine.
